Fostering Higher Level Thinking in History Through Web 2.0

Some axiomatic statements about what my learning environment would be like if my IB students all had laptops (any platform):

* nearly all if not every handout would be in pdf format, thus saving paper I'm nearly there already with www.mrfaught.org
* the door would open to many collaborative projects within a prescribed IB unit. here is a great example of this
* Web 2.0 would be the ocean in which we would swim
* Google Docs would allow cross platform, real time collaboration... forget microsoft or apple...
* each class would/will have a ning site, a social network in which to post items and collaborate this is my ning already operating
* blogs would become part of homework many different ways to do this... here are mine
* images would be / already are on evernote here's an example of a class project about the Cuban Revolution
* there would be plenty of sound and video like these
* plenty of thought has gone into this approach, evident here

PLEASE consider this one to one plan... it would really be a positive step forward for the school. I would be willing to be a guinea pig, if you wish to trial the concept.
